1. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to:

  • Direct Reporting - Chief Commercial Officer
  • Supervises [Directly]: - No supervisory responsibility

2. PURPOSE OF POSITION

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, versatile, detail-oriented and self- motivated individual who can drive our Marketing and Communications portfolio for the Amber Group Limited. This is a fast paced role with daily responsibility for execution and an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of publics across the Caribbean, Americas, India and Africa. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a broad range of marketing and communications activities related to the commercial and reputational priorities of the Group, its Business Unit and leadership. This position requires a professional with significant business writing skills.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and implement new and creative ways to enhance the brand visibility and outreach efforts of AGL.
  • Utilize both digital and traditional marketing and communications tactics, including but not limited to Broadcast, Print, Digital and Social to drive campaigns and key messages across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic commercial and stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Lead and manage Marketing and PR campaigns geared towards both consumer and B2B audience and work with distributers, partners and stakeholders to deliver campaigns and drive outputs.
  • Drive the end-to-end content production process for clear communications across the business and with our partners. This includes developing ideas, researching and writing, editing and fact-checking, and driving final designs for key outputs.
  • Ensure key platforms such as the company website, social media platforms, blogs and videos are engaging and up-to-date.
  • Lead media outreach initiatives inclusive of pitching, handling media queries, and managing media relationship.
  • Develop and implement the executive thought-leadership campaigns.
  • Propose and manage marketing research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing and communications strategies.

4. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

Full participation in all Commercial projects as required.

5. PRINCIPAL CONTACTS

  • Internally with: All Departments within Amber Group, joint venture partners and other stakeholders.
  • Externally with: All business units/subsidiaries of Amber Group, joint ventures, master distributors, resellers, customers & clients, Amber Group Limited, principals, media and other stakeholders.

6. JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

  • BA in Marketing and Communications or related qualification
  • Ability to operate effectively in a technological, demanding and fast paced environment
  • Superior communication skills (oral and written) with formal training in Business Writing
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships, duties and priorities
  • Ability to work on own initiative without the need for daily supervision
  • Detail-oriented and analytical with a logical approach to problem solving
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Well organized and self-directed team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

7. DEGREE OF AUTHORITY

The degree of authority applicable is as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer in keeping with the standards within Amber Group Limited.

8. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Overall success of business key performance indicators through effective partnership with all stakeholders and as measured by:
    • Meeting strategic objectives of Marketing and Communications projects
    • Launching and completing Marketing and Communications campaigns in a timely way as per business plan with detailed measurement and assessment of outputs
  • Submission of deliverables as indicated within the business’ strategic Marketing and Communications plans

9. SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

  • The job is based on a minimum forty-hour work week; however, the nature of the company’s business will require flexible working hours during the week and possibly on weekends.
  • Job requires alignment across multiple global jurisdictions in the quest to meet and satisfy business objectives.
  • The incumbent must be capable of working independently, with excellent judgment and decision-making skills, and highly self -motivated.
  • The position has access to confidential material of major significance and the individual must handle information with appropriate sensitivity.
  • Short-term travel locally and internationally as a part of business expansion/project implementation.
